GENERAL
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO REGISTER?
Registration period begins December 15th, 2010. You should register as soon as possible because the number of participants is limited. Registration will end once the maximum number of participants is reached.
ARE THERE ANY SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE ISU?
The fee of 2,000 EURO is already inclusive subsidies from the State of Hessen and private sponsors. Until March 31st, qualified students can also apply for a scholarship of 400 Euro. You may also apply for scholarships from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM FEE?
The program fee includes four seminars, a German language course, accommodation in a double room of the IB Best Western Hotel, afternoon study tours. ISU Frankfurt offers two additional excursion packages: (1) Three daily tours to Strasbourg, Heidelberg and the Rhein River Valley for 100 Euro (2) Weekend trip (two nights) to Berlin for 200 Euro.
DO I HAVE TO BOOK THE OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS IN ADVANCE?
The number of places for the additional excursions is restricted. If there are still places left you can also decide spontaneously to join the trips once you are in Frankfurt.

CAN I ACCESS THE INTERNET DURING THE ISU?
During the ISU, you will have access to computer labs of the Universities. You can have WiFi at the hotel for an extra fee of 30 EURO for the entire 4 weeks program.
CAN I ALSO PARTICIPATE IN THE ISU PROGRAM IF I HAVE A PRIVATE ACCOMODATION?
Yes, you accommodation in the hotel is not binding. If you wish to stay at a private accommodation you get a course fee reduction of 500 EURO.
CAN I ARRIVE EARLIER TO FRANKFURT?
If you wish to arrive earlier than the start of the official program, you should find an alternative accommodation. The ISU team is happy to help you finding a hostel or hotel that is convenient for you and your budget.
