"4D-Security"
The project 4D-Security is supported in the context of the guidelines 'New Economic Aspects' of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research within the framework of the program 'Research for Civil Safety' of the German Federal Government (http://www.sifo.de/en/index.html). The interdisciplinary research project 4D-Security values public safety and security measures based on the four dimensions Security, Trust, Efficiency and Freedom infringement. Systematic approaches to quantify material and intangible damages provide an economic input for this holistic valuation. An empirical part of the project are surveys for the general public and for experts of public safety and security to analyse the willingness to pay for safety and security measures.
