DZ Bank Prize for Master Thesis

Michael Kühnel has won the Career Prize of the DZ BANK Group 2015 in the Category master theses. He was awarded for his work on „‘Too-Big-To-Fail‘ Effect in Equity, CDS and Bond Markets“, supervised by Prof. Dr. Jan Pieter Krahnen.

The Career Prize of the DZ BANK Group spends a total of 24.000 euros in prize money. It is the most generous award for academic theses in the German industry in the field of banking and finance. The first prize in the master theses category is endowed with 7,500 euros.

Julian Dörr, als a student of Jan Krahnen, was among the top nine in the category bachelor theses with his work on „Does the credit worthyness of states have an effect on the financing costs of national banks?“. Altogether, a total of 146 papers in this category and 110 in the category master theses were submitted this year.
