Frankfurt am Main is a financial and service center of global importance and, as the economic center of the dynamic Rhine-Main, is also one of the leading locations for companies in Europe. Frankfurt’s central location, its internationality, numerous jobs as well as its excellent infrastructure with one of the world's most important international airports, supports the city’s attractiveness. Frankfurt is the location of around 300 national and international banks, including the German Central Bank, the European Central Bank, and the German Stock Exchange Group.

But Frankfurt is not only a business city: it is also the city of Goethe, the location of the annual book fair and the location of the German National Library. It enjoys an excellent reputation at national and international levels as a cultural center. Numerous museums, art galleries, theaters and cinemas are located at the “Main” riverbank and in the city center and you can find countless other attractions, like the “Old Opera”.

Frankfurt is a global and international city, located in the heart of Europe. Among the approximately 750 000 inhabitants, nearly 30% are foreign citizens. Its cosmopolitan environment makes it easy for newcomers to settle down and make new friends.

In addition, Frankfurt has beautiful surroundings with unique recreational opportunities: whether hiking in the “Taunus Mountains”, a visit to the “Odenwald” or a trip to the wine region “Rheingau” - there is something for everyone.
