Dr. Alexander Schulan studied Economics at the LMU Munich and at the University of Warwick (UK) with the fields of interest Econometrics and Macroeconomics. In his Ph.D. thesis in Empirical Financial Macroeconomics he analyzed the feedback effects between financial markets and the real economy. After working within economic research departments of banks, he worked several years with asset managers. He passed all three examinations of the CFA Program.
Currently, he works in the project "4D-Security" where he researches qualitatively and quantitatively on issues in Economics of Safety. This project is funded by the BMBF and is part of the program "Research for Civil Security" of the federal government.
