Mr. Seonho Shin obtained B. A. in Economics from Seoul National University with cum laude as a scholarship winner supported by Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies, after having graduated from Seoul Arts High School majoring in the Piano. After several years of experiences in the strategy consulting field, he was selected as an awardee of the special invitation and the full sponsorship from the federal government of Germany and obtained M. Sc. in Management (Specialization: Managerial Economics) with the best distinction ("Sehr gut") from The University of Frankfurt.
He has been conducting research at Chair of Econometrics under the academic supervision of Prof. Dr. Entorf, and he also holds a research associate position at Chair of Macroeconomics & Development under the supervision of Prof. Nicola Fuchs-Schündeln, Ph.D.
Professionally, he had worked at Airbus Operations GmbH and Monitor Group; currently, he is a senior consultant at Roland Berger GmbH (Currently on academic sabbatical), mainly covering quantitative analysis techniques.
Academically, he is interested in applied microeconometrics, labor economics, and economics of culture. His current research areas with working papers are about non-linear multi-level estimations, negative sample selection cases, and panel quantile regression methods.
