Bridging accounting methodologies workshop with Eva Labro

The Department of Accounting at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz launched its new Bridging Accounting Research Methodologies (BAM) lecture series with a visit from Professor Eva Labro.

Eva Labro is the Michael W. Haley Distinguished Professor of Accounting and Accounting Area Chair at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. With a research focus in management accounting, she brought valuable insights and experience to Mainz through a two-part academic program.

The workshop, titled Bridging Theory and Empirical Research in Accounting, explored how to effectively connect conceptual frameworks with empirical methods. Professor Labro also presented one of her recent research papers, which prompted engaging discussion among attendees.

Members of the AccSus department actively participated in the event, contributing to the exchange of ideas and benefiting from the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge research in management accounting.
