Caesar would’ve Filed a 10-K: AccSus visits the EAA 2025 in Rome
Before Rome was flooded with accountants, Katharina Hombach and Keno Buß kicked things off at the EAA Doctoral Colloquium. Keno presented his paper “Political Polarization and Group Outcomes: Evidence from Analyst Donations”. The study examines how ideological differences within groups of analysts shape their forecasts—and whether consensus survives ideological crossfire.
At the main EAA Congress, AccSus was also well represented. Leah Matzner presented her work on CEO-CFO partnerships and firm resilience during natural disasters. Evelyn Intan explored how CEO personality traits—specifically extraversion—affect shareholder voting on executive pay. Inga Elise Meringdal shared new insights on firms’ donation behavior and local tax incentives in Germany.
Great feedback, stimulating chats, and academic consensus that the event was a full success.
