New Publication in the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization

AccSus member Anna Rohlfing-Bastian and her co-author Anja Schöttner have published their paper, Delegation of Job Design and Imperfect Performance Measures, in the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization.

In the paper, the authors examine when firms benefit from allowing employees to shape their own jobs rather than relying on centralized job design. Using an economic agency model, they show that delegating job design can be particularly valuable when employee performance is difficult to measure accurately and can help firms make better use of employees’ private information.
