The fast development of new information and communication systems and the rapid spreading of their usage lead to profound changes in business and society. The department of Business Informatics and Information Economics analyses the potential and application of ICT and acquires and tests design proposals. Close contacts of our professors to the industry enable a practical research and education in subjects like Information Management, Data Management, Mobile Business, E-Finance and Multilateral Security.

 The scientists research in international projects as well as the E-Finance-Lab (located in the House of Finance) together with partners like Accenture, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Börse, Telekom, Giesecke & Devrient, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Microsoft, Nokia, Siemens Networks, Postbank, SAP, T-Mobile, T-Systems et al.
