About

Cornelia Storz holds the Chair of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Goethe University Frankfurt. Her research focuses on how incumbent firms and entrepreneurs innovate, how universities stimulate knowledge creation, how organisations are facilitated by their institutional environment, and how digital firms are managing identities. Cornelia also works on issues on innovation and entrepreneurship in developing countries. In her most recent work, she explores new methods such as computer vision to analyse product similarity.

Cornelia's research projects have been funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), the Volkswagen Foundation, the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

Her recent publications have appeared in Research Policy, Small Business Economics, Journal of Technology Transfer, Asia Pacific Journal of Management, Industry and Innovation, Socio-Economic Review, Journal of Business Economics. She has also edited and published several Special Issues in Research Policy and Socio-Economic Review, and numerous books (Oxford University Press; Palgrave MacMillan; Edward Elgar; Routledge).

Prior to joining the Goethe University Frankfurt, Cornelia held academic positions at the University of Duisburg-Essen, at the City University for Applied Sciences, Bremen and at the University of Marburg. She has also been a visiting professor at the Osaka University, Japan, and a visiting scholar at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, at Keck Graduate Institute, Claremont, California, and at the Institute of Innovation Research at the Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo. Further, she has been invited as a visiting researcher to the RIETI (Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry) at METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), Tokyo.
