In October 2014, David Heller joined the Department of Management and Microeconomics as a doctoral student and has been working as a research and teaching assistant at the Chair of Industrial Organization since then.
David Heller obtained his master’s degree in 'International Economics and Economic Policy' (M.Sc.) at Goethe University Frankfurt, after successfully completing his undergraduate studies in business and economics in Hamburg and Valencia, Spain. Prior to his current employment, he has already acquired first practical experience during his work for Lufthansa AG (Department ‘Strategic Controlling’) in Los Angeles, CA. He has gained profound knowledge in research during his work for the Hamburg Institute of International Economics (HWWI) as well as his employment at the German central bank, the Bundesbank, where he also has been engaged as a visiting researcher since January 2017.
His research interests lie in the fields of applied microeconometrics, in particular corporate finance (entrepreneurial- and SME finance) as well as the industrial organization of financial markets.
