Faculty of Economics and Business is braving Covid-19: once again excellent results in “Universum Talent Survey”

This year, the Faculty of Economics and Business has yet again achieved excellent results in a survey performed and published by Universum, a company specialized in employer branding. Students praise the attractive location, the excellent education, the good employment opportunities, and the international reputation. Regarding the average student satisfaction with their university (on a scale from 0 to 10, 10 = “extremely satisfied”), the faculty has again attained a value (7.4) that is above that of the peer group (7.1). Similar results are reflected in terms of their satisfaction with the online teaching programs provided during the pandemic: here, the value (7.1) is above that of the peer group (6.9) as well.

The Academic Dean, Prof. Dr. Uwe Walz, is highly satisfied with the results: “These findings are excellent, especially taking into account that our students have been depending on virtual teaching programs for a year now and that an entire cohort of freshmen has barely set foot on the campus. This confirms that our students value the efforts made by the Faculty of Economics and Business as well as by the lecturers and that students can identify with the faculty, despite of the isolation and self-study.”

Based on an online survey, conducted between October 2020 and March 2021, the faculty’s students were given the opportunity to share their opinion on various topics, such as university and brand perception, university communication and career & employer preferences. All in all, a total of 17,500 students in Germany have participated in the survey, with 900 students among them from our faculty.
