Goethe named “Top University” for Auditing

Ranking by manager magazin based on survey of auditing firms and clients

Goethe University has been named among the “Top Universities” for the subject of Auditing. Goethe University is placed 5th in the overall ranking. In the university study conducted by manager magazin and the Scientific Society for Management and Consulting (WGMB, Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Management und Beratung), 51 auditing firms and 894 clients selected, ranked and evaluated the best chairs for Auditing at German universities and colleges of higher education.

Prof. Dr. Raimond Maurer, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Goethe University, is pleased to accept the accolade: “This award highlights the importance of the Auditing division of the Accounting department for Goethe University and our Faculty of Economics and Business.”

As part of the study “Germany's best universities for auditing”, auditing firms and clients were asked: “Please name the three German universities or (technical) colleges of higher education which, in your opinion, best qualify students for a career as an auditor.” The respondents then had to rank these institutions first, second and third in terms of excellence. With 225 points and a rating of “very good”, Goethe University is ranked among the "Top 10" best universities.
