Helmut Gründl Appointed a Member of the Insurance Advisory Council of the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority

Prof. Dr. Helmut Gründl, Managing Director of the International Center for Insurance Regulation at the House of Finance, has been appointed to the Insurance Advisory Council of the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) for a five year term. The Insurance Advisory Council addresses issues of insurance practice and provides advice to BaFin on the implementation and further development of supervisory law. Also, there are circumstances where the German Insurance Supervision Act (Versicherungsaufsichtsgesetz – VAG) provides that the Insurance Advisory Council must be consulted.
