Nicola Fuchs-Schündeln is Program Director at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR)

Nicola Fuchs-Schündeln, Professor of Macroeconomics and Development at Goethe University, was appointed Program Director of the “Macroeconomics and Growth” Program Area at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) in London in July of this year. CEPR is the leading research network for economics in Europe. CEPR's research is carried out under the auspices of ten Program Areas.

Nicola Fuchs-Schündeln has held the Chair of Macroeconomics and Development at Goethe University since 2009.  She is chairwoman of the Review of Economic Studies and elected fellow of the Econometrics Society. She received the 2018 Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize of the German Science Foundation, the highest scientific award in Germany, and the 2016 Gossen Prize of the German Economic Association. In 2018, she was also awarded an ERC Consolidator Grant, and in 2010 an ERC Starting Grant. She is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the German Federal for Economic Affairs and Energy and of the Franco-German Council of Economic Experts. She holds many affiliations in international research networks.
