Announcement: Prizes by the Dr. Mihael Foit and Elfriede Stich-Foit Foundation for Junior Researchers (Master Theses, Doctoral Dissertations)

The Dr. Mihael Foit und Elfriede Stich-Foit Foundation wants to promote junior reseachers (master and doctoral students) in the areas finance, risk research, and business informatics by donating prizes for the best master thesis (1,000 €) und the best doctoral dissertation (1,500 €) completed at the Faculty of Economics and Business of Goethe University in one of these fields in the past academic year (i.e., since October 1, 2025). The relevant date is the official date of the master’s degree according to the diploma and the date of the dissertation defense, respectively.

The jury consists of the team of deans of the Faculty of Economics and Business, potentially augmented by other professors with relevant expertise. The prizes will be awarded during the Dies academicus of the Faculty of Economics and Business on 19 November 2026 on the Westend Campus.

Applicants should send a pdf of their thesis (master or doctoral) no later than September 30, 2026, by email to Foit-Preis@wiwi.uni-frankfurt.de, subject “Application Prize Foit Foundation (Master Theses)“ or “Application Prize Foit Foundation (Doctoral Dissertations)“. The text of the email should also indicate the date of the degree and the dissertation defense, respectively.
