New Professor of Macro Finance: Karsten Müller

Since August 1, Karsten Müller has strengthened the Faculty of Economics and Business in the field of macro-finance and is based at the Leibniz Institute for Financial Research SAFE.

Prior to joining SAFE, he was a Presidential Young Professor and an Assistant Professor of Finance and at theNational University of Singapore's Business School and a Research Fellow at the NUS Risk Management Institute. He completed his Ph.D. in Business and Management at the University of Warwick and was a Postdoctoral Researcher Associate at Princeton University.

In his research, he focuses on the intersection of finance, macroeconomics, and political economy, with an emphasis on the creation of new datasets. His work has been published in the leading economics and finance journals, he is frequently cited by media outlets such as The New York Times, The Economist, Financial Times, Time Magazine, Bloomberg, and many others.
