Master's Course

 

The Master's Course in English for Economists is exclusively reserved for Master students matriculated in a German-language Master's study course in our faculty and is offered every semester. The following Master students are eligible to take this course:

  • Master of Business Administration
  • Master in Economics Informatics
  • Master in Vocational Education

TARGET LEVEL OF COMPETENCE

This Master’s course corresponds to level C1.2. according to the Common European Reference Framework on Languages (CEFR). 

 

MASTER QUALIFYING TEST
DATE: Thursday, 13rd April 2023 from 14:00 to 16:00. 
REGISTRATION DEADLINE for the qualifying test: Thursday, 6th April 2023 at 12:00 noon. There is no second or repeat date for this Test and is on a first come first served basis.
All registered candidates will be informed via email if they have passed the exam or not.
 

 

Participants will have ample opportunity to take an active role through working in pairs, small groups and in the form of plenary discussions. A greater understanding of grammar will be achieved by monitoring and discussing oral and written exercises.

DATES

Thursdays, 12:00 – 14:00, beginning 20.4.2023 (Qualifying Test on 13.4.2023), Room: see LSF

 Oral and written examinations (90 minutes) both take place at the end of the lecture time. There are no second or repeat examination dates.

All participants are required to write a home assignment of 1,000 words and must hand it in in class.

CREDIT POINTS All successful participants will receive 6 credit points for completing the Master's Course: English for Economists.

For successfully completing the course an internal language competence C1.2 certificate will be issued.
