Master's Course


The Master's Course in English for Economists is exclusively reserved for Master students matriculated in a German-language Master's study course in our faculty and is offered every semester. The following Master students are eligible to take this course:

  • Master of Business Administration
  • Master in Economics Informatics
  • Master in Vocational Education



This Master’s course corresponds to level C1.2. according to the Common European Reference Framework on Languages (CEFR). 


DATE: Thursday, 14 April 2022 from 14:00 to 16:00. 
REGISTRATION DEADLINE for the qualifying test: Friday, 7 April 2022 at 12:00 noon. There is no second or repeat date for this Test and is on a first come first served basis.
All registered candidates will be informed via email if they have passed the exam or not.


Participants will have ample opportunity to take an active role through working in pairs, small groups and in the form of plenary discussions. A greater understanding of grammar will be achieved by monitoring and discussing oral and written exercises.

Oral and written examinations (90 minutes) both take place at the end of the lecture time. There are no second or repeat examination dates.
All participants are required to write a home assignment of 1,000 words and must hand it in in class.

CREDIT POINTS All successful participants will receive 6 credit points for completing the Master's Course: English for Economists.

For successfully completing the course an internal language competence C1.2 certificate will be issued. This will contain all points gained in each examination achievement including the final grade. The certificate will be emailed to you approximately 6 weeks after the course ends. The original copy of the certificate can be picked up at the Services Office RuW 1.203 as soon as it reopens.
