French for Economists - Courses for all Students

These courses are designed to provide students with communicative and intercultural skills. They offer students the opportunity to brush up and perfect their existing knowledge of French as well as develop their knowledge of specialised vocabulary. They will also gain an insight into general aspects of the French economy.

There are three levels:

This course is suited for students who have studied French for 4-5 years. Here students will learn basic business vocabulary as well as solidifying basic French grammatical structure.

TOPICS: Consumption, work, corporate structure, corporate development, project financing

LANGUAGE EXERCICES: For example, negotiation, argumentation, reading and listening comprehension exercices

TARGET LANGUAGE LEVEL according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: B1.2.

To Register

This course is available to students who studied French in an advanced course level for the Abitur or who have successfully completed  French for Economists - Introduction . The course is primarily concerned with the socio-political and economic affairs in France. Speaking, reading and writing skills will be trained and students will improve their expression.

TOPICS: Current topics in the French economy; earnings, consumption, investment and saving behavior; political institutions

To Register

This course is suited for students who have successfully completed  French for Economists - Intermediate  or who have a corresponding level of existing knowledge.

TOPICS will be concerned with "le monde de l'entreprise en France". The stress of this course will be put on the language skills.

Furthermore, students will gain background information and work techniques that will be helpful for a study visit, internship abroad in a French speaking country, or for further successful study in credit-granting courses.

CLASS TIMES IN WINTER SEMESTER 2019/20

This course does not take place in winter semester 2019/20.

 

 

REGISTRATION
Pre-registration is required and can be done online.

FEES
for each course are 80 euros for 13 double-lesson hours of teaching and are to be paid in advance.

MATERIALS
For all levels, registrated students will receive course materials with economic exercises and selected economic texts.

CERTIFICATE
Students who pass the final exam (90 min.) will receive a completion certificate giving a grade of the level of language achieved together wih the personal grade attained. According to the Examination Regulations, no credit points are given for this type of courses.
