WiSe 2019/20: Prüfungstermine & Fristen / Exam Dates & Deadlines

Dear students,

The exam dates of the winter semester 2019/20 are published on the Website. Master's students find retake exams for semi elective modules, to which there is no course offered in the winter semester 2019/20, in the exam dates timetable. Depending on the examination type, different deadlines apply.

In planning your winter semester 2019/20, please check carefully the information about the registration procedures and applying deadlines for each module in the LSF course catalogue. Please follow the instructions and provided manuals. Different rules apply!

In particular, we would like to highlight the new two-stage allocation and registrations procedure, which applies to certain modules, which are limited to a number of participants. The procedure requires a login with the HRZ account and iTAN number. Please make sure that you have your access data and enough tan numbers available. Following deadlines apply for the two-stage procedure:

  1. Stage: allocation deadline: 23rd September 2019 - 4th October 2019
QIS module application: My Functions > Lectures occupy/sign off
    Instruction QIS Module Application
  2. Stage: exam registration and withdrawal deadline: 10th - 23rd October 2019
My Functions > Administration of exams > Register for Exams
    Instruction Exam Registration

In the first stage you apply an assignment in a module, which is limited to a number of participant. Depending on the programme, there are module bundles per field of study or module area. Within a bundle, all modules have to be prioritized, no module can be omitted. You can delete and reassign your priorities at any time during the application period.

After the application period, you will receive an acceptance to one of the modules by lot for each applied bundle, which entitles you to register for this accepted module in the second stage. The acceptant does not replace an exam registration. For a binding exam registration, students have to register the accepted module via QIS exam registration within the respective registration deadline. After acceptance in the application procedure, there is no obligation to register for the exam. You do not need to withdraw from the application, if you are not satisfied with the assigned module.

If there is an assignment of available capacities provided for a bundle, you can also register additional modules from the same bundle - even without participating in the two-stage procedure. The assignment of available capacities will take place at the Examination Office, where you can directly register for a module examination according to the first come - first served principle, from which you cannot withdrawal afterwards.

Given problems, please contact the Examination Office immediately within the respective deadline via e-mail (pruefungsamt[at]wiwi.uni-frankfurt[dot]de) with a screenshot of the displayed error message attached.

Kind regards
Yours Examination Office
