Bachelor Graduation Ceremony

Cancellation of both bachelor graduation ceremonies in 2020

Dear graduates

The Covid-19 pandemic requires us all to act responsibly.

Therefore, both graduation ceremonies, planned for September 4th and 5th, respectively, will not take place as usual.

We deeply regret that we will not be able to personally say goodbye to our graduates in a proper manner on Campus Westend this year. A (further) postponement of the ceremonies is impossible, as on-campus activities are prohibited for the upcoming winter semester 2020/2021.

All affected graduates will receive a personal farewell letter containing a certificate. We will therefore shortly send an e-mail asking for your current address and account data, so that we also can refund the rental fee for the gowns (applies only to graduates from March 13th).

I very much hope that we will be able to master the pandemic soon and return to our usual modes of social interaction. With this more optimistic outlook I would like to invite you to our two large events next year – the Dies Academicus and the Reconnect Party afterwards, which will both take place on November 12th 2021. To receive a personal invitation, please subscribe to the faculty’s newsletter http://www.wiwi.uni-frankfurt.de/newsletter . The newsletter will also keep you updated on your alma mater, the Faculty of Economics and Business at Goethe University.

I want to wish you all the best and much success for your future endeavors!

Stay healthy.

Prof. Dr. Raimond Maurer

Dean
Faculty of Economics and Business

Graduates who would have been invited to the second graduation ceremony this year (on September 4th) will be determined July 6, 2020. These graduates will receive a farewell letter by dean Prof. Dr. Raimond Maurer containing a certificate in August. Please make sure that your home address is updated with the Student Service Center.
At July's deadline, only those students will be contacted, whose grade index is complete and entered into the system. If you passed preilminarily at this time, you will be invited to the first graduation ceremony next year.
