Bernd Skiera appointed to the Board of the German Marketing Association

Prof. Dr. Bernd Skiera, Chair of Electronic Commerce, has been appointed a Member of the Board of the German Marketing Association (DMW). He will be responsible for the areas research and innovation. The DMV is the professional organization of the marketing management. It represents the interest of more than 14.000 leading executives and marketing oriented companies. „My aim is to bring marketing researchers and practicioners in Germany closer together,“ Skiera said.

Since 1999, Skiera holds the chair of Electronic Commerce which was the first of its kind in Germany at that time. Besides, he is a member of the managing board of the eFinance Lab and runs the Real-Time Advertising Competence Center. His research interests are in electronic commerce and online marketing, customer management and pricing. Skiera primarily conducts empirical research and works closely with companies when developing research models. He ranks first in the latest Handelsblatt business studies ranking for current research performance.
