General Information

The Master’s Program in Money, Macro and Finance (MMF) at Goethe University Frankfurt offers a unique academic experience at the intersection of monetary economics, macroeconomics, and finance. This innovative program, taught entirely in English, is a joint initiative of the Department of Money and Macroeconomics and the Department of Finance, both located in the House of Finance, the university’s hub for cutting-edge research and teaching in these fields.

MMF provides ambitious students from around the world with a rigorous, analytically grounded education that equips them with the skills needed for high-impact careers in central banking, financial institutions, and international organizations. The program’s distinctive blend of macroeconomic and financial perspectives equips graduates with a comprehensive understanding of how markets, economies, and financial systems interact.

Located in Frankfurt am Main, one of the world’s leading financial centers and the only city globally that hosts two central banks, the European Central Bank (ECB) and the German Bundesbank, MMF students benefit from exceptional opportunities to engage with policymakers, financial professionals, and researchers. Through guest lectures, workshops, and potential collaborations with institutions in the city, students experience firsthand how academic insights translate into real-world applications.

If you are motivated to build a successful career in the dynamic world of monetary policy, finance, and macroeconomic research, we invite you to explore the MMF program and become part of a vibrant, international academic community.
