QTEM Network and Program
QTEM (Quantitative Techniques for Economics and Management) is an expanding international network of leading universities worldwide. The network is supported by international enterprises (corporate partners) from worldwide. Corporate partner of the Faculty in QTEM is Banco Santander.
The program includes a study abroad experience as well as an internship. The QTEM program focuses on developing skills in analytical and quantitative techniques.
The following tracks are offered:
- QTEM Track 1: One exchange semester + internship (240 hours)
- QTEM Track 2: Two exchange semesters + internship (240 hours)
In addition QTEM students take part of the mandatory QTEM Global Business Analytics Challenge (GBAC, 8 ECTS) (detailed conception, please see here), this includes a global group work on a business case and two preparation courses to learn soft skills that are essential to succeed in group work and solving a business case.
All QTEM students have to complete a minimum of 50 ECTS credits of quantitative courses during their Master's program, including a minimum of 22 ECTS credits of quantitative course on average per QTEM exchange. At each QTEM Partner University there will be a broad choice of English courses. The master thesis will be written in Frankfurt.
After having successfully finished the QTEM Program and the Master Program at the Faculty students are awarded the master degree of the Faculty as well as the QTEM network certificate.
Starting in the fourth quarter of 2024, there will be a new GMAT Exam format. We recommend students applying for an exchange starting in the winter semester 2024/25 to opt for the new format if they have not yet taken a GMAT Exam. The new minimum test score is 555. More information about the new format can be found here. The old format is still accepted!
The QTEM exchange take place in the third or/and fourth semester. Students enrolled in the master programs Management (MSM), Betriebswirtschaftslehre, Money and Finance (MMF) and International Economics and Economic Policy (MIEEP) are eligible to apply in their first semester.
The extended application deadline is February12, 2024 for the academic year 2024/25. Please see the call for applications for 2024/25 here.
