QTEM Network and Program
QTEM (Quantitative Techniques for Economics and Management) is a continuously expanding international network of leading universities worldwide. The network is supported by global corporate partners. The corporate partner of the Faculty within the QTEM network is Banco Santander.
The QTEM program includes one or two semesters abroad as well as an internship. Its goal is to strengthen students' analytical and quantitative skills.
Two options are available:
QTEM Track 1: One semester abroad + an internship of 240 hours
QTEM Track 2: Two semesters abroad + an internship of 240 hours
In addition, all QTEM students participate in the QTEM Global Business Analytics Challenge (GBAC, 8 ECTS) (For a detailed description, please see here).
The GBAC consists of a group project based on a business case, along with two preparatory courses designed to develop soft skills essential for successful teamwork and case analysis.
As part of the QTEM program, students are required to complete a total of 50 ECTS in quantitative courses, including 22 ECTS per semester at one of the QTEM partner universities.
A wide range of English-taught courses is available at each partner institution. The master's thesis is written at the home university in Frankfurt.
Upon successful completion of both the QTEM program and the master's program at the Faculty, students are awarded the Faculty’s master’s degree as well as a QTEM certificate.
Proof of a GMAT test score of at least 555 points (or an equivalent GRE score, e.g., 155 in Verbal Reasoning and 159 in Quantitative Reasoning) is a mandatory requirement for participation in the QTEM program.
(See also here. Furthermore, a conversion chart for score equivalency can be found here.)
Starting in the fourth quarter of 2024, a new GMAT test format was introduced. The previous version of the GMAT format continues to be accepted, with a minimum required score of 600.
The QTEM exchange takes place in the third and/or fourth semester.
Students in the first semester of the following master's programs are eligible to apply:
Business Administration (BWL), Management Science (Mgmt Sc.), Money, Macro and Finance (MMF), and International Economics and Economic Policy (MIEEP).
