ACQUIN
Goethe University Frankfurt was the first Hessian university to successfully complete the institutional accreditation procedure of the non-profit accreditation agency ACQUIN: Since March 2016, the university’s institutional accreditation by ACQUIN has been unconditional. This special status enables it to decide autonomously on the introduction and continuation of degree programs, i.e. independently of external accreditation agencies. Such decisions are the responsibility of an internal accreditation committee composed of university members from all status groups.
Institutional accreditation certifies that Goethe University Frankfurt’s quality assurance system in studies and teaching is able to guarantee and independently develop the quality objectives and standards of its degree programs. The accreditation agency ACQUIN is a non-profit association supported by numerous European universities. Its headquarters are in Bayreuth.
